Change Car Color

While racing, pause the game and go to the Race Strategy screen. From here, press and hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + X + Circle + Select.

Cheat Mode

During gameplay, press Pause. Highlight Race Statistics, then press and hold R + C or R + L + A to bring up the cheat menu.

Stats:

While racing, press START to pause the game, then move your 
arrows to RACE STATISTICS, now press and hold
L1+L2+R1+R2+X+O+SELECT all at the same time. This will bring 
up a car editor menu which contains secret options for
modifying your car on the fly. 

The options include: 

1. drafting effect 

2. draft distance 

3. front downforce 

4. rear downforce 

5. fuel consumption rate 

6. incremental braking 

7. tire wear rate 

8. AI speed percentage (50-150) 

9. torque spins 

10. centrifugal force 

Some of the setting values can go below 0.

Cheat Menu:
Start a normal race and pause the game at any time. Go down to 'race statistics' and simultaneously press L1, L2, R1, R2, Select, X, Circle. This should bring up a cheat menu.

Extra Car Options:
Just Begin a race and press Start to pause .Select the option,"Race Statistics," and then press and hold:L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + X + Circle simultaneously. This should bring up a new menu full of car options you can adjust to modify your car to improve your racing ability

Different Colored Cars:
Start a new race and select Begin Career. At the Registration screen enter:
GO BEARS! -- for stock cars 
or 
GO BRUINS! -- for indy cars 
Now check out the car selection screen.....
