Last article had us talking Bejeweled cheats. Not the game cracking ones that will get you inevitably passed over for prize drawings or bots, but cheats that take advantage of the game mechanics to the fullest. Bejeweled as a game has many small split second actions that can be done to turn the tide from ending with a 'meh' score and very impressive one.
Here we have a bit of an underhanded one, but the rest depend on fast reflexes and lots of focus. Then again that's why so many are addicted to Bejeweled - it's so simple a premise that yet is so hard to master!
Dumping Facebook friends for profit.
Sometimes friends can be fun, great conversations, great things in common, a familiar face that you can see everyday on Facebook. But when it comes to trying to rank highest in Bejeweled, those same friends can inadvertently bring you down.
A legal though shady trick is to remove friends who score higher than you from your friends list. If you think your Facebook friend will take it well, you can dump them; when the team resets your score will bump from the sudden departure and place you in first place. Just hope your buddy doesn't take it the wrong way!
Play moves during explosions.
It was mentioned in the last post that you can play through pre game noises and post game animations. Explosions also can be exploited by playing moves through them. This applies not only to normal gems, but to any other hypercubes left after starting the initial explosion.
Even though the screen darkens and flash effects fill the screen ignore them; they function the same as the in game sounds to distract the player. You can continuously make gem matches during them and even move gems while they are mid falling into place (this will net you a speed demon multiplier).
Tag gems across not downward.
Gems can be tagged either horizontally or vertically. Basically across or down. You could tag gems downwards but realize that only that column of gems will move. If you tag a bunch of gems lying vertical, then you disrupt at least 3 columns causing more gems to shift and fall. This gives you more options to make more matches then moving the one.
